
MODULE I: Overview of Graphic Images and Formats (Video)
This module will cover basic concepts such as image resolution, raster and vector images, and graphic file formats. In addition, the use of the sample files are discussed.
MODULE II: Preparing the PhotoShop Workspace for Images (Video)
This module will cover opening a new document in Photoshop which will include setting the document size, image resolution and the background color.
MODULE III: Importing Images onto the Canvas (Video)
This module will cover importing images from a file and the clipboard. It will also cover bringing in images from a scanner source. The student should have a basic understanding of how to use a scanner; --scanner use will not be covered in this tutorial due to the wide variation in scanners and software.
MODULE IV: Selecting and Modifying Images (Video)
Students will learn several ways to select a piece of a picture. Students will use their knowledge of these tools to manipulate an image.
MODULE V: Saving your work and Using Print Preview (Video)
You can save a file in a variety of formats, depending on how you plan to use the file. For example, you could flatten a file and then save it in the JPEG format to publish the image on the World Wide Web. To save in most formats other than Photoshop format, you must flatten the file into a single layer.
